BIG GULPS 2. (NZ Iteration)🌏💪

Big Gulps unfiltered Pale ale, the New Zealand iteration. Using a delicious mixture of locally grown malts, and Hops we made a delicious beer that goes down in big gulps. 

We got a little geeky with the development of this beer and implemented some new processes and selected ingredients to explore the complex world of Thiols. Wait What are Thiols?? Thiols are free and bound compounds found in hops and malt that impart fruity flavours like grapefruit, passionfruit, berry etc. Big hype hops like Citra, Mosaic contain high amounts of free thiols. {thats why they are expensive.} The goal for this beer is to try and unlock some of the bound thiols in the less hyped hops and allow them to express their more fruity side. 

We used Southern Cross, Taiheke, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka to  unlock delicious grapefruit pith, Melon candy and zesty Limes
